Installing SharePoint 2013 on Windows Server 2012 Error

When you try to install SharePoint 2013 on Windows Server 2012 you need to install he prerequisites before SharePoint 2013.

You may get this error.

And when you open the log file, you will see the below error

Error when enabling ASP.NET v4.0.30319

Solution

Go to Server Manager >> add roles


use Role-based


Select Web Server (IIS)


Pass the Features and Web Server Role (IIS)


You may need to restart the server after above changes


New Document Disabled in PowerPivot Gallery

When you create a new PowerPivot site and go to Power Pivot Gallery, you find the “New Document” disabled by default.

Solution

Go to “Library Settings

Click on “Advanced settings

Choose “Yes” in “Allow management of content types?

PowerShell Issue after Installing SharePoint 2010 SP1

After installing SharePoint 2010 SP1 on my VM, I opened the PowerShell to execute one Cmdlet.

But L , I got the following error in any CmdLet..

The complete error is:

Install-SPRSServiceProxy : Microsoft SharePoint is not supported with version

Solution

Right click on “SharePoint 2010 Management Shell”

After the properties windows opened, you will see the below screen

Add “-version 2” in the Target field

Try now 😉

Report of Installed Features in SQL Server 2008,2012

Actually I need to know which features of my sql server 2012 instance have been installed on.

After a little time of search I found the solution.

Now, go to Tools

This wills generate a report of all installed features…

I installed SQL Server 2012 on my VM and I installed SharePoint 2010 , In SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard I got the following Message:

Solution

Install:

  1. SharePoint 2010 Foundation SP1
  2. SharePoint Server 2010 SP1

The paging now can be done using ORDER clause.

  • Return all rows sorted by FirstName

Prevent saving changes that require the table to be re-created in SQL Server 2012

Problem:

When you try to save a table after you did modifications on this table you got a message:

Saving Changes is not permitted. The changes you have made require the follwoing tables to be dropped and re-created. You have either made changes to a table that can’t be re-created or enabled the option Prevent saving changes that require the table to be re-created.
